Second, 6-9pm) will be getting ready for the Rare Trends event, which includes more cocktails, new spring arrivals, and a trunk show with Rare Trends and local jewelry designer Monica Ruiz. Rain or shine, we'll make it to see the leather goods at the Betty Loo Project truck sale at Limbo Jewelry (1604 S. Congress, 7-9pm). The leather goods designer's motto, "Canadian Spirit, Texas Made" sounds intriguing. So do snacks from Chef Matt James, and Tito's Handmade Vodka, which will also be on hand with a Betty Loo-inspired cocktail. We may be feeling a bit woozy at this point, having shopped and tippled, but we not have tippled over, because we are going to the Poolside pop-up at Lincoln Village (6406 N. 1H-35, 8-10pm; RSVP here). This week-long collaborative shop features the work of jewelry designer Stone + Smith, custom perfumer J. Hannah, and the Fair Trade line from Purse & Clutch. There will be more drinking here, so please be clear, the mannequins are living people, so no monkey business.
