By Anne Harris, 5:34PM, Fri. Jun. 12, 2015
The Austin chapter of Les Dames d'Escoffier International, whose members are local female culinary and hospitality professionals, will host its spring fundraiser, the Austin Dames Kitchen Sale, on Sunday, June 14 from 10am to 2pm at the Texas Farmers' Market at Mueller.
Come out and stock up on gently used kitchen treasures like catering items; all types of cookware; small kitchen electrics; tablecloths, napkins, other linens of the culinary-realm; home or restaurant china, flatware, glassware, with and without logos; stockpots, crockpots, and bakeware; kitchen decor, wall plaques, and tchotchkes; barware and wine glasses. For bibliophiles, there are plenty of cookbooks and food memoirs, history of food books, wine/beverage, and hospitality tomes with which to dream about your next dinner party. You can also buy a chance to win Aaron Franklin of Franklin Barbecue’s Yeti Cooler. Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 tickets for $20, and you do not have to be present to win.
Les Dames d’Escoffier is an invitational organization of women leaders in food, beverage and hospitality who work to create a supportive culture in their communities to achieve excellence in the food, beverage and hospitality professions. The Austin Chapter is made up of a diverse group of chefs, winemakers, restauranteurs, writers, and many other food professionals dedicated to giving back to the community.
