Cathy Bonner, a business consultant and former Gov. Ann Richards' pick to head the now defunct Texas Department of Commerce

John Drolla, perennial judicial candidate

Dr. Chris Fabre, founder of Austin's Jack Sansing HIV Dental Clinic

Patrick Flood, founding director of what is now Austin Area Interreligious Ministries

Clarke Heidrick, the attorney who chaired the steering committee for the successful campaign to create the hospital district

Victoria Hsu, engineer and former director of the Texas Board of Professional Engineers

Rose Lancaster, longtime community health care advocate

Shirley Mackey-Brown, retired manager of the city/county health clinics

Lynn Nabers, former state rep and top-tier lobbyist

Mae Marion, longtime community activist and former mayoral candidate

Mary Lou McLain, registered nurse, and eloquent advocate before the City Council and elsewhere for health and human services

Dr. Donald Patrick, head of the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners

Susan Pascoe, president of the Austin Neighborhoods Council
