ATX KIDS CLUB ATX Kids Club is on a mission to inspire youth to fearlessly explore and become independent, self-confident individuals through educational and health-minded adventures. SONGWRITING WORKSHOP Calling all aspiring musicians, lyricists, and students who want to learn more about songwriting: the Paramount and State theatres are known for hosting legendary songwriters from around the world, and they'll pass that on to the next generation at this intensive workshop. Students will learn the basics of songwriting and explore different genres of popular music, led by Akina Adderley, vocalist, songwriter, educator, and Austin Music Award nominee. Featuring another all-star roster of guest musicians including SaulPaul, the three-time Grammy nominated musician with a message; Warren Hood, seven-time Austin Music Award winner, Austin Music Hall of Fame inductee, and accomplished singer-songwriter with a standing Wednesday residency at ABGB (Austin Beer Garden and Brewery; and Carrie Rodriguez, a composer, singer, and violinist, whose last full-length solo recording, Lola, was included in NPR’s best albums list. THE CONTEMPORARY AUSTIN ART SCHOOL The school is located on the 14-acre Lake Austin site of historic Laguna Gloria. Their studios have direct access to the outdoors, and they encourage teachers to explore the grounds with their students while working on class projects. Camp Paramount CAMP PARAMOUNT Make lifelong memories performing on the Paramount stage! Young actors have six sessions to choose from at locations across Austin, where they'll learn a ton in a fun and fast-paced two-week musical theatre camp with Broadway-style musical numbers and iconic pop hits, culminating in the big show at the historic theatre. CAMP STORY WRANGLERS Inspired by the hugely popular in-school Paramount Story Wranglers program, campers will explore story-writing, songwriting, costume and prop design, and acting to create a new, thrilling, hilarious, weird, poignant, SNL-style, you-name-it production. This camp will not only challenge campers to be creative writers, but will challenge them to bring their stories to life. Sky Camp SKY CAMP Does your kid want to run away and join the circus?
