 General Camps

Austin Parks & Recreation Camps AUSTIN PARKS & RECREATION CAMPS Austin Parks and Recreation provides accessible, diverse, and inclusive summer camps, and now offers early registration for community participants who qualify for financial aid, adaptive, and inclusion support programs. Choose from therapeutic, cultural & arts, nature, and community recreation camps. Ages 5-15. June 6-Aug.12. Citywide, and virtual.
Camp Headwaters CAMP HEADWATERS Three locations around town provide summer fun for all ages, with enriching play for young ones and thematic weeks, field trips, and adventure camps for older ones, all designed to inspire kids to be peacemakers, advocates, creators, and thinkers. KIDVENTURE DAY CAMP With five locations in the Austin area, there are plenty of opportunities for kids to grow, gain confidence, and make memories and new friends. Ages 3-12. June 6-Aug. 12. Various locations.
Kidventure Overnight Camp KIDVENTURE OVERNIGHT CAMP Kids will build relationships, learn new skills, and gain confidence at one of three overnight camp adventures. Ages 8-16. July 11-Aug. 9. $1450-1850. Various locations in Hunt and Rocksprings.
Sherwood Forest Camp SHERWOOD FOREST CAMP Learn archery, blacksmithing, leatherworking, swordplay, and other Renaissance activities, and spend the night in an air-conditioned castle.  Art & Music Camps

Cordovan Art School CORDOVAN ART SCHOOL Creative kids get into the art zone at over 40 themed camps, including theatre, video game art, anime, tech, space art, sea life, and so much more – even camps with live animals. Over 5,000 kids attended the award-winning camps last year. Ages 5-16. May 31-Aug. 19. $200-450. Locations in Northwest & Southwest Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, and Cedar Park.

 Theatre/Dance Camps

Paramount Performing Arts Camps PARAMOUNT PERFORMING ARTS CAMPS Paramount's legendary camps are back in person, with camps taking place at locations across Austin and final performances being held at the beautiful, historic Paramount and Stateside theatres. Choose from Camp Paramount (musical theatre for 1st-10th graders), Camp Story Wranglers (creative writing, design, and more for 3rd-8th graders), or the Summer Songwriting Workshop for 7th-10th graders. Bake Austin BAKE AUSTIN Chef Pascal guides campers through the creation of dinners, desserts, and more using ingredient lists, recipes, and tool lists sent prior to the virtual sessions. Because it's virtual, siblings attend free, and the whole family can enjoy the delicious results. Ages 8-14. May 30-Aug. 12. $225; $250 after March 1. Virtual.
Earth Native Wilderness School EARTH NATIVE WILDERNESS SCHOOL Kids can turn off the TV and have some old-school fun learning all about the natural world of Central Texas through exploration and games. Expert naturalist instructors teach lasting skills and how to make the most of the outdoors, and a variety of day camps offer epic adventures and wildlife discovery at three locations, including a new one in Georgetown. Older kids get into some survival techniques at the overnight camp in Bastrop. Ages 3.5-16. May 30-Aug. 12. $375, day camp; $695, overnight camp. Idea Lab Kids IDEA LAB KIDS Campers can explore a variety of STEM projects, culinary adventures, 3D art, and more at themed camps with different activities all summer. Ages 5-12. May 30-Aug. 8. $405. 8620 Burnet Rd..
Rio Vista Farm Summer Camp RIO VISTA FARM SUMMER CAMP Campers learn the basics of English riding and horse care through hands-on experience. Responsibility is taught through the care and riding of “their” horse for the week in preparation for the weekly horse show, and equine games and crafts round out the experience. Ages 7-16. Steve & Kate's Camp STEVE & KATE'S CAMP Kids take chances and take charge at a camp where they are given tools and gentle guidance to help them teach themselves. Activities include sewing, stop-motion animation, music, performing arts, crafts, breadmaking, and more. Ages 4-12. June 6-July 29. $99/day or $2,970 for Summer Pass. UT COMPUTER SCIENCE SUMMER ACADEMIES The UT-Austin Department of Computer Science offers a variety of very distinct summer academies for high school students, designed to intrigue students with the potential of computing and the excitement of problem solving through unique hands-on experiences. Virtual camps are available. Ages 14-18. June-July. $799-2,500; some free options available. Online or at UT-Austin campus, 2317 Speedway.
