Lead With the Drunk

The Chronicle asked Ben Bentzin if he felt the now-infamous DWI ad attacking Dist. 14 incumbent Sen. Gonzalo Barrientos had helped or hurt him in his campaign. Bentzin asserted that it had helped, saying, "This spoke to leadership, and this was a failure of ..." -- that is, the same damn thing he said a zillion times since the ad started running non-stop 24/7. If you can't remember, you can look it up.
