Lakeside Dining 2000: Many Restaurants, Not Much Water

Mulligan's is another new business in the brand-new shopping center on a bluff just past the entrance to the village of Lakeway. Though it's actually a pool hall, Mulligan's is not the kind of billiard emporium we were warned to avoid as kids. This place is just this side of elegant, offering a full bar, 14 giant TVs always tuned to sports, a full-service restaurant with a menu heavily loaded with grilled items, plus both smoking and nonsmoking pool rooms. It all makes for a great place to hang out and pass some time while waiting for the lake levels to rise.
