Like roasted chicken? And giving to good causes? If so, this fundraiser, from the folks at Pets Assisting the Lives of Seniors – an arm of Meals on Wheels and More – is right up your alley.
PALS has only been around for three years, but it has already helped hundreds of pets and their senior owners, all clients of MoWaM, by partnering with Emancipet and the Texas Veterinary Medical Foundation to provide basic vet care as well as special care. Indeed, last year alone Emancipet helped 120 PALS pets.
Now, through Nov. 26, PALS has teamed up with TVMF for a roasted chicken drive to raise money for 12 PALS clients who are in need of medical care – including for Stevers, who needs several teeth extracted, and Buster the Boston Terrier who has a possibly cancerous mass on his hip that needs attending to. Indeed, a $25 donation not only helps to get the PALS clients the care they need, but will also get you a locally-owned Richardson Farms chicken specially roasted by veterinarian David Mouser. Of course, if chicken isn't your thing you can still donate – at this link.
