Meet the animal service officers today
By Wells Dunbar, 2:02PM, Tue. Dec. 14, 2010
One truncated Hustle coming right up, just as soon as I change the litterbox …
As we noted last week, today's the public's opportunity to sniff out the city's finalists for the position of Animal Services Officer. As the city notes, “The Chief Animal Services Officer will lead a staff of 86 and will oversee the transition from the current Town Lake Animal Center to Austin’s new Animal Center at the Betty Dunkerley Campus at 7201 Levander Loop. The new Animal Center is expected to open in fall 2011.”
Brush up on the finalists here before you head out. The event's going down at the Palmer Events Center, Meeting Rooms 1 and 2, 900 Barton Springs Road, 6-7pm, and free parking is available in the Palmer parking garage.
What the hell else is happening?
On the city calendar: The Urban Transportation Commission meets in the Boards and Commissions Room at City Hall, 301 W. Second, 6pm.
The Planning Commission meets in Council Chambers at City Hall, 6pm.
