Austin Police are on the hunt for a serial robber who they believe has hit at least three businesses in South Austin since Friday.
On July 31 the woman allegedly flashed a knife and robbed the Amy's Ice Cream at 9900 S. I-35; on Monday, they say the same woman (wearing a shirt that read, "Don't just get drunk, get ugly" -- charming, eh?) milled around the Wal-Mart store at 9300 S. I-35 before flashing a knife and demanding money from the register. Today, the woman entered the Walgreens store at 5100 W. Slaughter Lane and -- again -- pulled out a knife and demanded cash.
The woman -- white, early 30s, heavy build, with blondish hair -- was caught on the drugstore surveillance camera. Anyone with information about the woman should call the robbery tip line at 512/974-5092.
