    ASO: Happy Birthday, by George!

    The Austin Symphony Orchestra celebrates the legacy of American composer George Gershwin in this concert featuring his "Concerto in F" performed by Yifei Xu, and opening the evening with his "Lullaby." The program will also feature Ottorino Respighi's "Fountains of Rome" and "Pines of Rome." Peter Bay conducts.

    Austin Playhouse’s Fall Cabaret

    Austin Playhouse company members and other local luminaries treat guests to a spooky evening of musical theatre – "All Souls Cabaret" – accompanied by a live band.     Dance Carousel

    Founded in 2004 by Ellen Bartel, Dance Carousel – 40 dances in 40 minutes – is being re-introduced into the community after an 11-year hiatus. Two different programs will each showcase the work of ten different choreographers; each choreographer will create four one-minute dances that will be shown in a round, amounting to 40 minutes of dance. Pairing polka, a lively, quick-paced, jumpy song and dance, with the stillness and potency of Harold Pinter’s pause, Future Landscape explores the ever-shifting landscape of memory and its impact on our ability to connect.
