La Palapa

Born in 1984, this highwayside cantina and restaurant features live music Tue-Thu, with karaoke on the weekends. La Palapa hosts a "little bit of everything," from rock & roll to country to Latin jazz to Spanish rock. (Current regulars include No Strings Attached, Pete Benz, and the Big Little Band.) Performers hold forth from a small stage in back, within easy shouting distance of the bar and their signature La Palooza margaritas. Country superstar Rick Trevino got his start here. Capacity 160.
