As revealed by the trippy and drippy flyer appearing in our print edition today, the Chronicle’s day party for SXSW 2020 has taken shape.

Have you had a nagging thought that something was missing from SXSW 2020? Yeah, laughs! Well, no more. SXSW has announced this year's Comedy Festival participants and shows, and they include Judd Apatow, Bob Odenkirk, Pete Davidson, Hannibal Buress, and The National Lampoon Radio Hour.

South by Southwest is only a week away, and it's still getting bigger. After announcing the world premiere of the eagerly-awaited The Green Knight and new speakers like Hillary Rodham Clinton and Adam Schiff, now the conference has added NASA, RZA, and Eric Andre.

Last year, SXSW and Austin-based digital media outlet Texas Tribune collaborated on Conversations About America’s Future, a two-day mini-fest within the fest notable for hosting a gaggle of presidential candidates.

Three weeks out and South by Southwest’s Music festival is coming into focus. Schedules emerged, day party lineups are announcing hourly, and most of the 1,500-plus performers have been revealed.

South by Southwest unveiled its lineup this morning for the music festival’s largest annual series – the trio of free outdoor shows at Auditorium Shores. This year’s programming breaks down into pop, Americana/indie, and a Latin concert highlighting immigration support initiatives.

One month from now, South by Southwest unleashes Music week. As of this morning, that now includes indie favorite Japanese Breakfast, Nigerian pop breakout Mr Eazi, and Puerto Rican nylon-string guitar enchanter José Feliciano, who thus becomes the festival’s most iconic instrumentalist.

Two days after dropping a star-studded speaker roster, South by Southwest focuses back on the slow pour of their music talent pool. Highlighting today’s list: buzzing R&B voice Baby Rose, dramatic pop duo Heart Bones, and NYC quintet Laundry Day, who gun it hard in the indie boy band lane.

If we told you that a prince were coming to South by Southwest, you’d probably guess Harry. More exciting, the conference rolls out the red carpet for the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne.
