Drafthouse Uncorks Two More Wines

'Silence of the Lambs' duo on sale today

"First principles, Clarice. Simplicity."

The Alamo Drafthouse empire may seem like a sprawling web – from theatres and film distribution to karaoke and wines – but head honcho Tim League has always been driven by one simple principle: enjoying film.

And there's plenty to enjoy about the Drafthouse's latest announcement: two new wines, inspired by The Silence of the Lambs.

The duo follows the successful Bottle of Wits series – As You Wish White and Inconceivable Cab – that celebrate The Princess Bride. And In keeping with those names, the Drafthouse presents: Suit Yourself Pinot Grigio and The Cannibal Chianti.

"Even before we launched the 'Bottle of Wits' series last year, we knew we had to reference what is in my opinion the most iconic wine moment in movie history, Hannibal Lecter's now famous food pairing advice," said League in a press release.

Both wines will be available for one year only at $8 a glass or $32 a bottle at Drafthouse locations or online at www.silenceofthelambswines.com. The Drafthouse will host a Silence of the Lambs feast Wednesday, June 19, to celebrate the release – expect liver and some nice fava beans on the menu – and two new Mondo posters will be released this week by Caesar Moreno, including this one, in a limited run of 110.

"We covet what we see…"

Visit the Drafthouse website for more info on the wines, the feast, and the posters.
