Let's Get Down to Biznasty: TFN
Biznasty: like the Wall Street Journal, but 20% less queer.

This week's Biznasty focus: Today is the 15th annual celebration of the creation and advocacy of the Texas Freedom Network, one of Texas' best voices for LGBTQIA issues.
Want to know how successful TFN is? Check out their Wikipedia entry.
You know you've struck a chord when opponents are firebombing your Wiki page. This "hate" group has been in the news quite a bit recently, having led the effort against the Texas State Board of Education, and with their well-executed responses, few can doubt why.
Founded by the late Ann Richards' daughter Cecile (the current president of Planned Parenthood and former deputy chief of staff for Nancy Pelosi), Texas Freedom Network liberally paints a large swath of blue in the otherwise crimson Texas political landscape. One central issue near to their hearts is civil rights, and specifically in this age, GLBTQIA rights.
While not everyone involved in the TFN is heterosexual-identified, the group lends an "allied" voice to groups like the HRC and Equality Texas.
Happy birthday, TFN! Thank you.
