Vote!

Election day is here, so don't forget your voter ID

Vote!

It may not be a presidential year, but it's still election day. So if you weren't one of the 5.64% of registered voters in Travis County that made it to the early voting locations or sent their mail-in ballot, you have until 7pm tonight to express your democratic right.

This year there are nine statewide constitutional amendments on the ballot, including the establishment of a statewide water infrastructure bank in Prop. 6. Locally, there is also a City of Austin proposition, a second attempt to pass affordable housing bonds after a similar measure failed last year. Then, up in House District 50, there is the special election to finish out Mark Strama's unexpired term.

Don't forget, this is the first year of voter ID in Texas, so make sure that you have a valid photo ID with you. Remember, it is your right to vote.

For more info on where to vote, go to your county elections division website.

Williamson: www.wilco.org/elections or 512/943-1630.
