The Totally Awesome AusChron Newscast is up for the Challenge!
School grants, Fleet Services and Sanders
By Wells Dunbar, 9:01AM, Thu. Aug. 5, 2010

Challenge grant, that is, as the Chronicle's Richard Whittaker stops by the Totescast to discuss the race between the St. Johns and Govalle/Johnson Terrace neighborhoods for federal Promise Neighborhood Initiative funding to improve their schools and communities.
If that's not big enough news, try the latest chapter in the Fleet Services scandal, where a former manager turned whistleblower alleges the city knew about problems in the city car shop years before they claimed they first did. And lastly, fallout from the city's decision not to settle the civil case brought by the family of Nathaniel Sanders II continues. As always, Jordan Smith and Wells Dunbar will see you in court.
