Wow. Kind of a big meeting coming up this Thursday, as City Council makes up for lost time. And bear in mind, this 153 item doozy doesn't even cover the city budget, which gets its own separate meting tomorrow.

Check the Hustle's rundown of the agenda below the fold.

Items 7 -11: Five eminent domain proceedings.

Item 13: A $250,00 contract for pre-construction services on Austin's new public library.

Item 14: Buyout and demolition of 25 properties in South Austin's Williamson Creek floodplain, for a total of $3.3 million.

Items 17-19: Sidewalk and Accelerate Austin road improvements totaling $6.4 million.

Item 23: Naming three firms to provide engineering services on Water Treatment Plant No. 4, for a total of $4 million.

Item 27: $350,000 for preliminary design work on the Asian American Resource Center.

Item 28: $1.5 million contract with Pedernales Electric Co-op for relocating transmission lines and easements, per WTP4 construction. (Hey, that should cover Juan Garza's buyout!)

Items 32-33; 36-36: Social service contracts and funding for AIDS services.

Item 38: Up to $300,000 in grants for Capital Metro to begin implementing a tobacco-free workplace and bus stops.

Item 40: $200,000 more in funding to two law firms for legal services regarding Lions Municipal Golf Course.

Item 43: Accepting $100,00 from Cities of Service for the volunteerism-minded Chief Service Officer position.

Item 45: $8.6 million in bond money to partner with the YMCA in construction of a center on Rundberg Lane.

Item 47: The Worker's Defense Project's proposed item requiring rest breaks at construction sites, inserted into the city code.

Items 48-77: A plethora of purchasing contracts, including parts and labor for the ailing VHS camera system in APD patrol cars (Item 64).

Items 84-93: This meeting's Items from Council.

Item 100: The 10:30am morning briefing, “City Manager’s Recommended November 2010 Bond Proposal and Transportation Bond Citizen Task Force Recommendation.”

Items 101-104: Executive session, including “legal issues related to proposed ballot language for the November 2, 2010 election,” and discussion of the potential Nathaniel Sanders II shooting settlement.

Item 105: Potential action on the Sanders settlement.

Items 112-128: First read zoning cases, including changes to North Lamar, Central West Austin, Windsor Road, and West Austin neighborhood plans.

Items 129-152: Public hearings, and a mess of floodplain variance requests.

Item 153: Late addendum, in the form of another 10:30am briefing, this a “Bond Election Financial Analysis.”

What the hell else is happening?

On the city calendar: The Planning Commission is meeting in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 301 W. Second, 6pm.

The Parks and Recreation Board is meeting in the Boards and Commissions room at City Hall at 6pm.
