Two new polls show increasing support for pot legalization

California NORML reports that a new poll of voters in shows increasing support for pot legalization, especially among voters in the West where 58% say the evil weed should be regulated and taxed. Eastern voters were divided on the issue, with 48% favoring legalization.
In a January CBS News/New York Times poll, 41% of Americans said marijuana should be made legal. That's up from 27% when the question was polled in 1979.
