Burying the Lede
Council members at odds over Cap Metro top spot
By Wells Dunbar, 11:59AM, Fri. Sep. 19, 2008
In Fact Daily pulls out the shovel and sends the dirt flying this morning, in their report on the three-way race for Capital Metro chair between board members Mike Martinez, Margaret Gomez, and John Cowman. The final graf notes board member Brewster McCracken backs not his dais-mate Martinez, but Leander mayor Cowman. While not entirely unexpected given the pair's history, this has to chill relations even further.
IFD notes McCracken's plans to meet with the would-be chairs today to see if "a consensus can be worked out." Good luck with that!
