Dear Glutton: SXSW Edition Day Two

Steak and shakes

Dear Glutton,

I'm in town for SXSW, and while I am super excited to see Austin I'm also FREAKING OUT because there are so many cool things to see/hear/do/eat. Help me!

Hey! Today’s not as bad, right? Maybe you’ve found your groove, remembered to stay hydrated and popped an Advil before bed, or maybe your body has just given up and decided to accept the torrent of abuse that is clearly headed its way this week. Either way, you should catch BØRNS 1pm set at Waterloo Records. Their music is glossy and sweet, the auditory equivalent of drinking a milkshake, which you should also do, by the way, preferably from 24 Diner next door. Their chocolate-peanut butter shake has been known to turn confirmed vegans off the path of righteousness. Before really getting serious about your night, stop by Hoffbrau Steakhouse for an enormous T-bone and a pile of potato wedges the size of your face. And if you want to get your classless debauchery started with a few civilized cocktails, they make a mean Bee’s Knees.
