Return to the House of Torment
Heading back into the nation's number five Halloween attraction
By Richard Whittaker, 1:26PM, Sat. Oct. 24, 2009
Last year, the House of Torment haunted house by Highland Mall was voted the nation's sixth best Halloween attraction by its industry peers: This year, it went up to number five.
The Chronicle got the backstage skinny last year (read It Came From the Back Yard and watch the accompanying videos, Torment in Four Parts). But with this second year of industry accolades, it was time for another trip into the darkness. Vice-president Jon Love, operations manager Mike Garcia and artistic director Matt Garcia took the time to explain what's changed in the House and for them over the last year.
