Dozens of volunteers gathered at the Austin Convention center on April 16, 2020 for the second day of the Face Shield Project, a collaborative initiative between the University of Texas' Dell Seton Medical Center and the City of Austin to produce thousands of face shields for healthcare professionals and first responders – 15,000 were constructed from April 15-16 (pictured: organizer/community volunteer Daniel Ostroff wearing a completed face shield)
