Where the Girls Go/ATX: Bunnies & Chocolate Edition
Bonnets, egg hunts, and where to find the grrrls and bois this weekend

Who doesn't love a holiday? Not this sinner. So you best believe I’ll be dying eggs, deviling eggs, and splurging on Cadbury eggs like any self-respecting agnostic should be. But beyond my own personal Easter festivities, there are lots of holiday (and non-holiday) events sure to be populated with all kinds of queermos.
Friday: Refresh your love – or curiosity – for the one and only Jodie Foster with the ladies behind her invasion as they take over The White Horse. And in true holiday spirit, this month’s Easter theme is "Bad Friday." It’s a proven fact, sinners and heathens make happy hours even better. Suggestion: Start out with the invasion, and stick around for two-steppin’, cuz White Horse Tavern is a secret hot spot for lady Qs.
Saturday: Celebrate the release of the fourth issue of ChingoZine at The Fusebox Festival. "Featuring the original drawings, design, and print work of emerging Latino artists published by the Puro Chingón Collective," this release party is sure to satisfy. If the art, music, and swag weren't enough, rumor has it there will also be a moonbounce!
Suggestion: BOUNCE! And pick up a copy.
Sunday: Clearly Austin treasures her holidays as much as I do, so take your pick today: TGQ Social once again sets up shop at Spiderhouse for networking, mingling, and some kick-ass band lineup including Krudas Cubensi.
Gospel? Easter shenanigans at CUC? There are no bad choices.
Suggestion: Embrace your inner child and do something that makes you giggle.
And yes it's true: On the seventh day, we shall rise again, and will be back with more tips next week.
A note to readers: Bold and uncensored, The Austin Chronicle has been Austin’s independent news source for over 40 years, expressing the community’s political and environmental concerns and supporting its active cultural scene. Now more than ever, we need your support to continue supplying Austin with independent, free press. If real news is important to you, please consider making a donation of $5, $10 or whatever you can afford, to help keep our journalism on stands.
