Shills in Hippie Clothing

RECEIVED Fri., Oct. 31, 2014

Dear Editor,
I can't believe The Austin Chronicle published the obvious smear attempt against Laura Pressley, right before elections ["Smart Meters, Fluoride, and Guns," News, Oct. 31].
First of all, you realize you guys used to be the bastion of all things liberal and alternative, and here you are ranting at this woman because she's against fluoride in our drinking water? Would you be brave enough to publish the number of U.S. cities, let alone entire nations that have banned the antiquated mindset of putting fluoride in drinking water? Do you know how many dentists and medical doctors are against it?
Then your hack, Jo Clifton, can't stop talking about how Pressley doesn't like cell phones and smart meters? And this is a bad thing? WTF happened to you, AC? When did you become sucked into and sold out to the powers that be? Those who would love to keep us all drinking fluoride and eating aspartame and MSG and GMO food, those who would love for us to keep cell phones strapped to our heads and sleep with smart meters right on the other side of our bedroom walls … oh yeah, and turn in all our self-defensive handguns, cause our trustworthy government will protect us, right? What happened to you? Shame on you. You lost your soul. People of Austin beware: The Austin Chronicle now are narrow-minded shills in freedom-loving hippie clothing. What a shame.
