Meet the Austin Toros

Free open scrimmage and player meet-and-greet

Meet the Austin Toros

With the season a few weeks away from tipping off, the Austin Toros are bringing in the new campaign with a special celebration, and guess what, Toros faithful, you're all invited! And guess what else? It's freakin' free!

On Tuesday evening, from 6 to 8pm, the Toros are hosting an open scrimmage at the Cedar Park Recreation Center. Meet the players, the coaches, maybe even some new friends in the popcorn line. All I can say is this shindig is going to be a three-point swish at the buzzer to win it all. The atmosphere will be heavy with excitement and anticipation, as we'll get our first glimpse at the 2011/2012 Austin Toros.

Bring the family, grab a seat, and begin the celebration of Toros basketball. A contest for the fans is in the works, and perhaps you will be lucky enough to take a half-court shot to win some genuinely sweet prizes (season tickets anyone?). This should be a fun event for autograph seekers as well.

Tue., Nov. 15, 6pm. Cedar Park Recreation Center, 1435 Main, Cedar Park. Free. www.austintoros.com.
