The Totally Awesome AusChron Newscast is Down to the Wire!
Ed Burns, money stacks, tempers flare
By Jordan Smith and Wells Dunbar, 8:45AM, Thu. Jul. 29, 2010
The Wire, that is, as the Totescast discusses this week's interview with Ed Burns, co-creator of the esteemed series, on the eve of Burns' address to the American Civil Liberties Union of Texas' annual convention.
Next up, a breakdown of the welcome news in City Manager Marc Ott's proposed budget, which sees the city coming out of the red. Then, a discussion of what's on this week's council agenda (puppy mills, beware!), and more argument in the botched arson investigation that sent Cameron Todd Willingham to the execution chamber. As always, Jordan Smith and Wells Dunbar are manning the digital recorder.
