Épicerie, chef Sarah McIntosh’s restaurant in the Rosedale neighborhood, is seeking help to find a burglar who broke in for his third time early this morning. The offender burgled épicerie previously on July 11 and July 17.

The burglar has been identified as a 5’9” African-American male, who was wearing socks on his arms while breaking and entering the premises. He broke the lock once and the front door twice, before stealing various items and cash from the restaurant.

Local police are currently conducting an investigation with blood and tissue samples left by the burglar, and staff has taken steps to increase security at the restaurant, including removing all cash off-site overnight.

If you recognize the individual captured on épicerie’s security cameras or have any information pertaining to the incidents, call the Austin Police Dept. at 512/472-TIPS.

EDITOR'S NOTE: The article has been updated to describe the event as a burglary, not a robbery.
