Manneh Named PDL Player of the Week
Aztex forward wins national honor

Austin Aztex forward Kekuta Manneh (No. 28, at right) has been voted the Premier Development League Player of the Week, after netting four goals in the Aztex's 7-0 win over the Texas Dutch Lions last Thursday. He'll be in action again tonight and tomorrow, as the Aztex host the New Orleans Jesters 7:30pm Friday & Saturday at House Park.
Manneh, 17, just finished his junior year at Lake Travis High School; this national honor – being tabbed the best player in the entire 73-team PDL – should boost the Gambian native's stock considerably, heading into college recruiting. Mostly, though, he's really a treat to watch: fast enough to blow past defenders, and with crazy ball skills and balance.
The Aztex lead the PDL Mid South Division heading into the doubleheader against New Orleans. Tickets are $10; $50 for eight-packs; with kids 10 and under free. www.austinaztex.com.
