Austinites wishing to vote in the July 31 run-off elections must register to do so by Monday, July 2.

In several of the races in the May 29 primaries – both Democratic and Republican, though more in the latter – no candidate received a majority of votes. Those races will therefore be decided in a primary run-off on July 31. A brief early voting period runs July 23-27.

For more information on which races will be on the ballot at the end of next month, see "Not Done Yet: July Run-offs," June 8.

Travis County residents can check their registration status at www.traviscountytax.org. If you've moved within the county since the last time you voted, you can change your address on the Secretary of State's website.
