Local ethereal popsters The Sour Notes are kicking off a month-long East Coast/Midwest tour this Saturday night (7/21) at Red 7 in support of their 2011 album "Last Looks," newly remixed and released on shiny yellow vinyl for your summertime listening pleasure.
Dubbed "The Endless Sour," the tour kickoff show covers both stages with local and out-of-town acts alike: psych pop rockers Royal Forest, goth-revivalists Knifight, and eternal rock-and-rollers Burgess Meredith are just a few of the acts gracing the Red 7 stages, as well as The Midgetmen (their only show this summer), Houston's own New York City Queens, and sweetly melodic garage rockers Growl. It's a fourteen-act line-up of bands that promises something for everyone. Check out the Endless Sour Playlist by show sponsor Adobe Airstream for a sampling of the line-up, featuring videos from the bands involved.
The event features a photo booth sponsored by Bird's Barbershop and on-site shirt screening by Cog Dut, designer of The Sour Notes' new vinyl jackets. Join the party at 7 pm; $7 gets you in the door. That's 50 cents per act if you're doing the math. It's the best deal in town for your Saturday night, music friendos.
