Confirmed acts performing at the 32nd annual Austin Music Awards include:
“Watching Gary Clark Jr. walk away with his first Grammy really underscores how pivotal the Austin Music Awards show is to musicians’ careers. Clark’s sweep of the top AMAs in 2013 showed what he meant to his hometown; his Grammy means the rest of the world is paying attention,” explains the Chronicle’s Margaret Moser, director of the Austin Music Awards. “That’s what we like best about our Music Awards, seeing talent cultivated and supported here rise to the top.”
In recent years, the Music Awards has seen guest and unannounced appearances from The Who’s PETE TOWNSHEND, Texas favorite son LYLE LOVETT, the mighty KRIS KRISTOFFERSON, and The Boss himself, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN. With more performers to be announced, expect more surprises!
The Austin Music Awards are presented by The Austin Chronicle, SXSW, and Cap Metro Mobile App and benefit the SIMS Foundation. Sponsors of the Austin Music Awards include Greystar Apartment Homes, KUTX, Guitar Center, AT&T with GigaPower, and Planet K. This year, the Music Awards show will air live on America’s longest, continually running community television station, channelAustin (Channel 10).
