Duncan Removed

W-D: Peter Livolsi; with Ken Marino, Mackenzie Astin, Mina Badie, Dean Welsh

Ken Marino (Wet Hot American Summer) and Mackenzie Astin (The Last Days of Disco) have a particular chemistry as the man and the-man-behind-the-man, respectively. Questions surface faster than they can be answered: Why is one man unable to speak without the help of another who coaches him in reclusion? How does a relationship like this come about? Where can it possibly be going? Close scrutiny of every frame and line of dialogue in Livolsi's "Duncan Removed" rewards. Ending with only the slightest sense of closure, this short leaves a feature-length's worth of questions unanswered. – James Renovitch
