Action Items

The League of Women Voters of the Austin Area will hold a panel discussion on "Sustainable Development -- What Is the City of Austin Doing About It?" on Wed., March 1, at 7pm in the Schroeder Performance Hall at Concordia University, 3400 N. I-35. Panelists will include Asst. City Manager Toby Futrell and Capital Metro General Manager Karen Rae. Call the League at 451-6710 for more info.

The UT Radical Action Network will sponsor a screening of The Truth Merchants, a candid documentary about the world of public relations professionals. The film shows at 7:30pm on Tues., Feb. 29, in room 3.112 in the UT Communications Building. Call Bob Jensen at 471-1990 for more information.

The West Austin Democrats will host an open discussion on Smart Growth at the AFL-CIO Labor Hall, Wed., March 1 at 7pm. Speakers will include Mayor Kirk Watson and former SOS Alliance executive director Brigid Shea.
