The League of Women Voters of the Austin Area will hold a panel discussion on "Sustainable Development -- What Is the City of Austin Doing About It?" on Wed., March 1, at 7pm in the Schroeder Performance Hall at Concordia University, 3400 N. The UT Radical Action Network will sponsor a screening of The Truth Merchants, a candid documentary about the world of public relations professionals. The film shows at 7:30pm on Tues., Feb. 29, in room 3.112 in the UT Communications Building. Call Bob Jensen at 471-1990 for more information.
The West Austin Democrats will host an open discussion on Smart Growth at the AFL-CIO Labor Hall, Wed., March 1 at 7pm. Speakers will include Mayor Kirk Watson and former SOS Alliance executive director Brigid Shea.
