It's been a minute since genius animator Don Hertzfeldt has released new material, and it's gonna be some more minutes yet. But now we can put a number on it.

That's because the Oscar-nominated creator of such works as It's Such a Beautiful Day and the World of Tomorrow series will be sneaking new short film "Me" at a just-announced March 7 event. The Austin Film Society's "An Evening With Don Hertzfeldt" will not only include a presentation of the film but also a lengthy in-person conversation between Hertzfeldt and Mike Judge, who's contributed a thing or to the annals of American animation, too. (See: Beavis and Butt-Head, King of the Hill.)
Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 11am on February 16 and can be purchased at AustinFilm.org.
But if you're an AFS member, you can get an early jump: Pre-sale tickets and discounts will be available to AFS members starting today at 11am at the above link.
