Go Go 'Goliath'
The Zellner Bros.' feature debuts on DVD today

Austin’s the Zellner Bros. find humor in the unlikeliest of places: diabolical monkeys, deathbed diatribes, guilt-stricken men of God. No surprise, then, that their wickedly funny 2008 feature Goliath, out today on DVD, centered around a dead cat. Don’t worry, it’s only a movie – see photo for said cat being adorably squished.
Goliath premieres today on IFC Entertainment and can also be viewed throughout the month on the Sundance Channel. Here’s what Josh Rosenblatt said about Goliath in a 2008 feature in the Chronicle: “[It’s] the story of a nameless everyman whose life unravels following an acrimonious divorce, a demotion at work, and – unkindest cut of all – the sudden disappearance of his beloved cat. ... [with] a Beckett-esque blend of tragic absurdity and slow-burn comic misery.”
