Where the Girls Go/ATX: Labor Day Edition
The best places to find the cutest Qs, grrrls, and bois of summer
By Sarah Marloff, 4:15PM, Fri. Aug. 29, 2014
For a weekend that marks the unofficial end of summer, the temps are hitting towards triple digits. But pumpkin beers are on shelves, and Halloween decorations can be seen in store isles. Feeling summer/fall conflicted? We can help, or at least help you forget, because no matter what season it is, this three-day weekend is going to be triple-digits awesome.
Friday: Tonight belongs to your best pair of Mom Jeans, and thinking I just – I want to be her. But seriously, Cheer Up Charlie’s is offering a two-for-one deal tonight with Little Stolen Moments, Mom Jeans, and Total Unicorn getting jggy with it outside. While DJs I Wanna Be Her and Payton Long are offering up pancakes of dance proportions inside. Not sure what that means? Better check it out.
Suggestion: We hear you stay cooler when you bounce back and forth between the in and the out.

Saturday: Get yourself in a tizzy tonight with lady lez comedian, Erin Foley. We're talkin' Comedy Central's and Chelsea Lately's Erin Foley, and she's pretty certain she can make you laugh 'til it hurts. But then it'll feel so good.
Suggestion: Buy tix now, relieve the stress.

Sunday: Another unofficial summer’s end is upon us. Tonight marks the last night of Cinema East’s 2014 season. Send them out with a bang and a full lawn of beautiful, summery people. The film, Heart Machine, will make you question online dating, city life, and love on and offline.
Suggestion: Pack a picnic and scout out the perfect spot early. If you're feeling restless after, book it to Cheer Ups for a Stargayzer Pre-Party. They swear, summer ain't over.
Need more eek in your weekend? Check out The Gay Place and follow us on Twitter to find out just where do the grrrls go!
