My Name Is Frank J. Rivera, and I'm Here to Recruit You

Queerbots, LazorLezzies, Bilabials, QueerQuestioning, Tranz & our dear Straight Allies, let's all have a party this weekend for our buddy, Harvey Milk. You in? Good. I (and by I, I mean Equality Across America's Texas Chapter) have reserved a nice spot downtown.
It's the Austin City Hall! I know, I love that space, too. The British Lady's voice telling me to mind my manners. That lovely waterfall. Proximity to his hunkiness, Mr. Mike Martinez. It's perfect! Be there at 6:30PM, okay?
But you know, while we're there, why don't we hold a little parade? I don't know. Is that overstated? No? Good. Okay, you bring some banners and markers. I'll make sure we have a few people dressed in tutus. It'll be grand.
Let's take this march all the way to the Capitol! Nothing like showing the whole of the Lege our grandiose costumes. And the Capitol is so pretty! It's pink! It'll look perfect in the falling light of dusk.
What are we celebrating at this party? Why Harvey Milk, you big silly! He was born on May 22. And wouldn't you know it, that's Saturday!
For more details – and less of this clearly annoying character I've created – please visit either the Austin Harvey Milk Day Parade Facebook page or the Equality Across America's Texas Conference and Day of Action homepage.
