The Daily Hustle: 7/22/10 (Updated)
Council committee convenes
By Wells Dunbar, 10:29AM, Thu. Jul. 22, 2010

TDH will most likely keep up its skeleton posts this week, keeping the powder dry for when City Council returns next week. Until then, check out this week's bountiful news coverage, and peep the B&C highlights below.
UPDATE: Those jonesing for some municipal action could do much worse than council's Public Health and Human Services Committee below. Taking a break from the social service contracting that's dominated recent meetings, instead, they'll be taking up three always controversial topics: action on the council's "no kill" plans for their animal shelter; medical-related exemptions to the anti-homeless loitering "No Sit, No Lie" ordinance; and an update and recommendations on mobile food vendor (i.e., food trailer) regulations.
Sounds like a fun one!
What the hell else is happening?
On the city calendar: The Public Health and Human Services Committee meets in the Boards & Commissions room at City Hall, 301 W. Second, 3pm.
