Daddy's Little Girl Gets Mean
Teresa Jeffs v. Natalie Malonis, Round Two
By Jordan Smith, 5:33PM, Tue. Jul. 22, 2008

Sixteen-year-old Teresa Jeffs, daughter of the imprisoned polygamist prophet Warren Jeffs, launched a new attack on her court-appointed ad litem on Tuesday, reports the Salt Lake Tribune, in an effort to have a San Angelo judge replace attorney Natalie Malonis.
Last week Jeffs, who it appears was married to a 34-year-old man in 2006, a day after her 15th birthday, told Malonis to "shut your mouth up" and quit saying that Jeffs was a victim of sexual assault. (See our earlier post.) This week she's redoubled her efforts to get Malonis off her case, by filing a motion in Schleicher Co. court saying that Malonis' "personal behavior" demonstrates "choices that brought her judgment, lifestyle and her ability to cope with responsibilities and obligations into question" – apparently referring to the fact that Malonis and her husband divorced in 2000, the Trib reports. And recently, Jeffs' new court filing alleges, Maloni has "argued, cajoled, threatened and all but called [Jeffs] a liar."
Hell, if I were Malonis I'd say good riddance.
District Judge Barbara Walther has not yet decided whether to grant Jeffs' request.
