Hold-Up in Hyde Park

Armed criminals rob convenience store in broad daylight.

Crime update from one of the city's usually sleepier neighborhoods: The Pronto Food Mart on Duval Street in Hyde Park was the scene of an armed robbery around 4pm on Saturday. Eye-witnesses said there were two robbers, one acting as a look-out. More details when they become available.

Good news for fans of late-night convenience: The Hyde Park institution had re-opened by early evening.
