Heaven help us, it's true.

So I'm complaining to my wife for the bazillionth time about how George W. Bush's presidency would never have happened if his last name weren't "Bush."
"Let's face it," I said, "if it weren't for his family, he'd be a lower midlevel manager at some mediocre company somewhere."
And then she hit the nail on the head: "You mean he'd be Steve Carell's character from The Office."
"Oh good lord," I moaned. "You're right – Michael Scott is the president of the United States."
