Taft Enters “A Door Within A Door”
New single from Austin crooner teases live-recorded collection

Penned during bi-coastal travels between Vermont and California, Goodnight, Plum offers a softer sonic direction from Austin songwriter Taft Mashburn. The ex-Lomelda member steps onto the platform of Cosmic Dreamer, expanding the Cali-based label’s past local work with RF Shannon and the Dan Ryan.
New single “Door Within a Door” sets a solemn mood with warm, emotionally intense vocal flutters and careful instrumental backing. Esteemed team Josh Halpern (Shearwater, Marmalakes), Sam Pankey (Balmorhea), Jeff Ratner (Langhorne Slim, Bing & Ruth), and Andrew Stevens (Hovvdy, Lomelda) all lend their talents to Taft’s third album.
Captured during a live performance with minimal alterations, Goodnight, Plum debuts this Friday, Feb. 22. Taft airs out the delicate work live, March 7 at Estuary Recording (5114 Caswell).
