Where the Girls Go/ATX: Rabbit Rabbit Edition
The best of the best events under that big Q umbrella this weekend

There’s something fleeting about August. Reminiscent of school years past, when the first day of that month meant the countdown to summer’s end. True, many of us aren't going back to school (buses and #2 pencils), but the magic still seems a bit more romantic this month. So, for the next three days, don't let a single summer second slip by.
Friday: Make it a double-header tonight. Start off early at Castro’s because Lesbutante & the Boss is hosting their inaugural ladies night and there can never be too many ladies nights. Then – if that Nineties hip-hop craving can’t be shook – GirlFriend and Boi Toi will be playing all Nineties at Living Color all night over at Cheer Up Charlie's.
Suggestion: Make a pedicabber's night and party hop between the two. Tip like a baller.
Saturday: Get dark and dreamy tonight with Avant Glam Cabaret. Producer and choreographer Sassy Delure will transform Spider House Ballroom into a mythical world with "neo-burlesque acts that will haunt and taunt you."
Suggestion: Buy advanced tickets on Friday and have an extra $5 for drinks Saturday.
Sunday: Tonight, lesbians takeover Cinema East with The Foxy Merkins. An official Sundance Next Category Selection, the film follows a lesbian hooker-in-training and her straight friend, who just happens to be an expert on picking up ladies. Hilarity ensues.
Suggestion: Get the most out of Sunday night by getting there early, grabbing a free beer (be sure to tip the tender), and laying out under the stars.
Looking for more? Look no further than the Gay Place. Until next time, bois and grrrls.
