Nonprofit Humanities Texas’ annual holiday book bazaar, which happens tomorrow (12/8), is a two-birds, one-stone kinda deal: You get presents for loved ones on your list, and Humanities Texas presents you with the opportunity to meet some of Austin’s finest writers. Win-win, right?
Twenty-some participating authors – including Jan Reid, Sarah Bird, Katherine Catmull, H.W. Brands, Shana Burg, and Jacqueline Kelly – will be on hand to shake hands and sign books purchased at the fair. (You can see the full list of authors at the Humanities Texas website.)
Held at the historic Byrne-Reed house (1410 Rio Grande), the Humanities Texas Holiday Book Fair runs 10am-1pm tomorrow and benefits area libraries.
A note to readers: Bold and uncensored, The Austin Chronicle has been Austin’s independent news source for over 40 years, expressing the community’s political and environmental concerns and supporting its active cultural scene. Now more than ever, we need your support to continue supplying Austin with independent, free press. If real news is important to you, please consider making a donation of $5, $10 or whatever you can afford, to help keep our journalism on stands.
