You've seen plenty of big-screen news in Film Flam of late, but what about your television favorites?
Here's what's new in Central Texas TV land.
• Food Editor Virginia Wood reports that Austin food truck the Peached Tortilla is one of 10 finalists in LIVE's Truckin' Amazing Cook-Off. Read more here and check out the show this morning (Friday, June 14) at 9am.
• Animal Planet's Treehouse Masters makes itself at home in Austin for this week's episode, which features Monica Davis' treehouse spa, the Davis Ranch Retreat. The episode premieres tonight at 9pm CT.
• Deadline reported last week that Robert Rodriguez is planning a second show for the El Rey network (in addition to his From Dusk Till Dawn adaptation): a "Latino James Bond-type series" that "centers on a super-star soccer player and notorious playboy who doubles as a highly-skilled spy." Of course it does.
• The PBS series Genealogy Roadshow is filming in town this summer and invites Austinites to apply to be a part of the show. Got a family legend that needs investigating? Are you a descendant of Davy Crockett? Share your stories online.
• Remember when we told you about the potential development deal for Janell Vela Smith's The Next Dragon? She won. Check out more here.
