A Christmas Carol 1

In the women's dressing room at the State Theater, female cast members of A Christmas Carol line up before the mirrors. From left to right, Lucy Carapetyan, Lauri Raymond, Lisa Shenk, Andrea Osborn, and Lara Toner. Asked about her pre-show routine, Lauri Raymond says, "I'm pretty obsessive about having enough time to get ready. I like to get to the theatre early. And one of the reasons is to have time to fool with my hair. At home, I don't usually roll my hair, but for shows I will. And something about that whole process -- putting on the rollers, letting them set, taking them out -- really helps me settle down and reminds me that I'm not in that other world anymore."
