Stanford repeated as NCAA men's champion, also in a PKS after a scoreless draw... Cristiano Ronaldo won his fourth Ballon d'Or award as the top player of 2016, after leading Real Madrid to the Champions League title, then leading Portugal to the Euro Championship this summer. He and Lionel Messi have now won the last nine such awards... Ronaldo can add one final trophy to his haul at the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan. His Real Madrid is facing Mexico's Club America in a semifinal early Thursday morning; the winner will face Japan's Kashima Antlers in the final this Sunday morning, Dec. 18, at 4:30am on FS1.
