The Austin Aztex host Arizona United this Saturday, April 11 at 8pm at House Park. The Aztex lost 3-0 to Vancouver last Wednes­day, then beat Tulsa on the road on Saturday, 2-0 on a pair of Kris Tyrpak goals. At 2-1 on the season, the Aztex are tied for the USL West lead with three other clubs who've started the season with two wins; Arizona is one of those. You can still buy season tickets through April 17 to be enrolled at no extra charge as an "Aztex Original" – earning a free team scarf, your name on a stadium banner, invitations to special events, and other benefits.

The U.S. men take on arch-rival Mexico this Wednesday, April 15 in San Antonio... The European Champions League quarterfinals start this Tuesday-Wednesday, April 14-15 – Real Madrid-Atlético Madrid, Juventus-Monaco, Barcelona-Paris St. Germain, and Bayern Munich-Porto – live on Fox Sports at 1:30pm... The Montreal Impact became the first Canadian team – and only the second MLS team – to advance to the CONCACAF Champions League final by outlasting Costa Rica's Alajuelense Tuesday night; they'll face either Costa Rican minnow Herediano, or Mexico City's Club América in a home-and-away final April 22 & 29... The National Women's Soccer League begins its third season on Friday, seemingly in better shape than either of the two women's pro leagues that came before it – both folded after three seasons... Aztex alum Kekuta Manneh scored the winning goal as the Vancouver Whitecaps upset the LA Galaxy last weekend to win their fourth straight game. Manneh was also tabbed as the most exciting young player in America in Soccer America, and is said to be aiming for U.S. citizenship... Latest rumors, already denied, have Orlando City among the suitors for Javier "Chicharito" Hernández... In a letter to FIFA President Sepp Blatter, 13 U.S. senators have asked that FIFA pull the 2018 World Cup from Russia because of the country's "ongoing violations of the territorial integrity of Ukraine."
