Sao Paolo of Brazil won the FIFA world club championship on Sunday, beating European champions Liverpool 1-0 in the final of the six-team tournament in Japan.

Pairings for the European Champions League Round of 16 were announced Friday. Highlights include three Spain-Britain clashes – Chelsea-Barcelona, who may just be the two best teams in the world right now; Real Madrid-Arsenal, two struggling giants, one of whom will be out of Europe early and under extra pressure at home; and Rangers-Villarreal, a favorable draw for the first Scottish team ever to reach this level – plus two Italy-Germany matchups.

Champions League Round of 16

Chelsea – Barcelona

Real Madrid – Arsenal

Glasgow Rangers – Villarreal

Bayern Munich – AC Milan

Werder Bremen – Juventus

Ajax Amsterdam – Inter Milan

Benfica – Liverpool

PSV Eindhoven – Lyon
