This Saturday, say sayonara to Santa and wiggle your wings at the incoming IMAX movie, The Magic of Flight, which will screen at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum from Jan. 11 through May 2. Narrated by Tom Selleck, this 1997 film follows the history of flight from the Wright Brothers on (onward and upward, we mean). Guaranteed to get the stomach juices gurgling, The Magic of Flight "puts you in the cockpit and takes you to dizzying new heights to discover how the forces of thrust, drag, gravity, and lift work together to keep a plane in the air." Free opening-day festivities include an instructional on kite making and an informative talk with WWII Air Force vets. Everybody together now: Wheeeeeeeee!
The Magic of Flight opens at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum (1800 N. Congress) on Saturday, Jan. 11. See Film Listings for showtimes.
